Our Heritage
We are justly proud of our history which spans over 110 years. In 1895, Mr. Robert Campbell Edwards, a prosperous, Irish born, tea-merchant, having great concern about the number of children living on the streets of Melbourne, founded the Burwood Boys' Home.

VISION: To be recognised as a leading independent provider of holistic children's services in early childhood and associated life issues. Creating a world standard place where families can and want to come.
MISSION: Create and deliver in an extended family environment, services that are practical, reliable and responsive to the life issues experienced by families and their children, with an emphasis on early childhood.

Committee of Management
Our Committee of Management is made up of volunteers whose primary aim, through their governance function, is to ensure that public monies given in trust to bestchance Child Family Care are responsibly and accountably managed for the benefit of the community - with particular emphasis being on providing early intervention services for children.
