Early Childhood Intervention
bestchance Early Childhood Intervention is a family centred program specifically for children up to six years of age who are experiencing developmental delays.
Every child within our program has different needs. Acknowledging this, our highly qualified Early Intervention team works in collaboration to provide a flexible, specialised and targeted program specifically tailored to address the needs and skill set of each individual child.
At all times, we work in unison with the family and parental support, advice and education form an integral and ongoing part of the program. Throughout the sessions, a strong emphasis is placed on parental participation and maximum success is achieved by families reinforcing and practising the lessons learnt in their own home setting.
Both parents and children participate in a developmental group program during which children have access to a range of specialist services which may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and movement therapy. As part of our comprehensive program, we also place importance on visiting children in their own homes, kindergartens or childcare centres where they can be accurately observed in an environment that is most comfortable and natural to them.
Who is eligible to attend?
To participate in the bestchance Early Childhood Intervention program, your child must be under six years of age, live in the Eastern Metropolitan area and have a disability or delay in two or more areas of development.
