bestchance management and day to day operations are run in a tiered structure with a Chief Executive Officer, an Executive Management team and a number of Program Leaders.
CEO and Executive Management Team
Lodi Francesconi - Chief Executive Officer
Lodi is 63 years of age, and a strong family man with many outside work interests. Through his sound leadership, he has been instrumental in taking the organisation to where it is today.
He manages bestchance in very much a collaborative fashion, never losing sight that it is a business and as such, must adhere to basic business principles.
His leadership and management skills come from over 30 years experience in senior management positions in the Victorian State and local government arena, with a background in research and practical experience in education in California earning both his Bachelors and Masters in Education from California University.
Pauline Ogden - Deputy CEO and Client Services Manager

Brian Pountney - Business Manager
Brian regards bestchance as his 'second career', the first being 30 years of experience in the 24/7 world of human resources / industrial relations management in large Australian and international companies which he left at the age of 50. Whilst then consulting in HR, IR and business practices, Brian undertook pro bono assignments with bestchance that lead to his engagement on various consulting projects and, subsequently, his full-time appointment as Business Manager in 2001.
Brought up with strong family and community values, Brian has always had a keen interest in, and involvement with, community organisations that support the development of children, teenagers and families. It has been personally very rewarding for him to have the opportunity to contribute the knowledge and experience gained from his tertiary qualifications in Commerce and Personnel Administration as applied in his corporate career, to the strategic redevelopment of bestchance.
In the corporate world, Brian’s responsibilities for human resources were always undertaken with an awareness of impact on profitability and, whilst the community sector is ‘not for profit’, he now applies many of the same principles, practices and processes to ensure that the material, human and financial resources of bestchance are most effectively used to deliver services.
