This nationally recognised course covers workers in children's services who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements.
Career Opportunities:
Workers have responsibility for supervision of staff and volunteers and in most states it is the highest qualification required as director or service manager level for children's services centre based care.
It can lead to employment as a qualified child care worker, team leader, service manager, service director, group leader or program leader.

Selection Criteria:
You must demonstrate competency in the following units (or equivalent) either through a recognised training program or be able to measure your skills acquired through work or life experience (RPL):

An interview will be conducted to ensure that applicants possess the motivation to complete the course and have an aptitude for childcare work.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you are currently working in the industry you may be eligible for RPL.

One day per week over 38 weeks

Fridays + 12 Saturdays
9:00am - 3:00pm
2 March - 7 December 2012
Assessment:
Mostly practical, however, some written and verbal presentations are required.
